When we turn on our computers, at home or at work, we usually go through the same steps, like opening a web browser, an instant messenger and so on. If you are tired of performing the same sequence of actions over and over again, then you can use Batchrun to launch multiple applications in a single run. The software can execute other actions as well, such as copying, renaming or deleting files, stopping processes and more.

Batchrun is freeware and it runs on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, in both 32 and 64-bit versions. The installation procedure is fast and simple, so you can have the application up and running in a few moments. Batchrun is lightweight, which means that you don't have to sacrifice too much disk space and other resources to run it on your computer.

The software places a series of controls at your disposal, to create one or more tasks. After selecting an executable, you can select different commands, from a drop menu, like running, copying or renaming the file, killing the process and others. If you opt for the Run command, you may also select a priority and choose to run the program normally, minimized or maximized.

Additionally, you can type parameters, for certain commands, and delay the task. When everything is in order, you must click a button to add your task to a list, in the same interface. Once added, you can repeat the process, depending on how many tasks you wish to run. The listed tasks can be selected and deselected with check boxes and you can execute the selected ones immediately, by clicking a button, on Batchrun's toolbar.

If you want to execute a series of defined tasks, there is no need to launch Batchrun. Your tasks list can be saved as a file, in the software's native format (.brs), which is an alternative to .bat files. You just need to run the saved file and all your tasks will be executed immediately.

Pros

You can define various tasks, from running a program to copying an executable's name to the clipboard. It is possible to set up priorities, delays, add command line parameters and more. The software allows you to create numerous tasks and save them as a single executable file.

Cons

Inexperienced users may have difficulties when creating a task that requires a target path or name. Batchrun enables you to launch multiple programs and perform other actions, at the same time, just by running an executable.
